The Autonomous University of Barcelona, in collaboration with the University of Aix-Marseille, the Montseny Biosphere Reserve (Spain) and the Mont Ventoux Biosphere Reserve (France) as part of the Edu-BioMed project, organises an interdisciplinary training in the fields of Biosphere Reserve management, research and education. This winter school entitled “In Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves: From Theory to Practice” will take place on the 8th to 12th March 2020.
The first part of the training will occur in the Montseny Biosphere Reserve and will be the occasion, on the one hand, to understand the complexities behind the reality of Mediterranean RBs through the experience of RB managers in Lebanon, Morocco and Spain, and on the other hand, to train participants in translating management problems and territorial demands into research and education solutions.
The second part of the training will occur in the Mont Ventoux Biosphere Reserve and will be the occasion for participants to share their experiences around “serious games” adapted to the context of Mediterranean BRs and an time to question the role of BRs in terms of actions promoting the transition of agro-food systems in the Mediterranean.
More than 40 people have already confirmed their participation in this fruitful event, including professors, researchers and biosphere reserves’ managers.
The final agenda will be available soon.
